All past versions have all been pretty unstable &amp;amp; not upgradeable. Remember the CLoudbook &amp;amp; wal-mart PCs w/ their really bad OS? That was gOS.  &lt;BR/&gt;The current versions, according to gOS are Ubuntu, no LXDE or anything,  + google gadgets (gnome already has desklets --same thing) + broken compiz and a dock. &lt;BR/&gt;It&amp;#39;s no better than equivalent Ubuntu-based distros like Linux Mint.
